We will be releasing our final pre-draft rankings over the course of the week and first up are the QBs.
There’s a couple here of note where the ADP varies significantly from our Rankings. These represent great value for you to attack in your drafts:
Ben Roethlisberger, who we have as QB8, is going off the board at QB13. Big Ben has had a total of about 10 snaps in his career when he had Le’Veon Bell, Antonio Brown, and Martavis Bryant on the field at the same time. They also just traded for Vance McDonald to give him another pass catcher at TE. Yes, his road struggles have been well-documented and you are getting a discount for that, but the upside is tremendous.
Andy Dalton, who we have as QB12, is going off the board as QB18. Dalton is one of those guys where it seems like every season he winds up being in the Top 10 when the dust settles at the end. With a healthy AJ Green, Tyler Eifert, and the addition of electric talents like John Ross and Joe Mixon at his disposal, you are getting Top 10 potential in the 12th round!
On the other side of the coin, we have Derek Carr at QB13 while the field has him at QB6. As noted, he definitely has the upside and weapons to reach that level but we don’t feel he’s worth the 6th-7th round draft pick his ADP suggests. We would’ve liked to have seen a bigger jump forward last year and it could be that, much like Matt Ryan prior to last season, he winds up being a more valuable real-life QB than a fantasy one.
